It’s Our Oil ... and We Want It Now!

This website is dedicated to Americans like me:

  • People who work hard to support themselves and their families
  • People who vote instead of marching in the streets
  • People who feel betrayed by the ones that our votes put in office
  • People who are alarmed at the prospect of everything they have worked for slipping away because of the soaring cost of energy
  • People who are in favor of alternative energy but realize that they are years from being today’s alternatives
  • People who don’t believe in man-made global warming
  • People who feel frustrated that the media is so willing to be the mouthpiece of environmental extremists
  • People who believe that it isn’t such a smart idea to use our food supply to manufacture fuel for our cars
  • People who are tired of being told that we cannot drill for oil in our own country ... or extract oil from shale or build nuclear power plants
  • People who believe that the environmentalist left movement is more about controlling our lives than diminishing resources
  • People who are tired of reaping the unintended consequences of liberal “feel good” legislation

The time to remain in the silent majority is past.  We must band together, raise our voices and go toe to toe with radical environmentalists.  If we don’t act, it will be the end of our American life as we know it.  In the words of Edmund Burke: “Evil flourishes when good men do nothing.”

About “It’s Our Oil ... and We Want It Now”

“It’s Our Oil ... and We Want It Now” was conceived of and is run by me, Leslie Denning of Dixon, MO.  I am a self-employed music teacher of piano, violin, voice and guitar.  I have been married to James for 34 years and am the mother of one and grandmother of three.  I am a conservative who believes in God and the greatness of America.  I am happy with my life; all I want to do is live it in this free country the way I want without others who think they know better trying to dictate the terms of my existence of this planet.

I live a simple life in the country in a single-wide mobile home.  I drive a 1992 Honda Accord that gets about 30 miles per gallon.  I keep my thermostat at 75 in the summer and 70 in the winter.  I do this because I am not rich and don’t like big energy bills.  I’d rather spend my money on other things.  But unlike many people in our country, I don’t begrudge others their riches or consumption. I do sincerely resent the actions of wealthy celebrities/politicians like Al Gore, who gobble up energy to their hearts’ content, justify it by purchasing carbon credits and then tell the rest of us that we have to downsize our lifestyles for the good of the world.

This is not a political website, per se.  Although I’m a registered Republication, I do not endorse either party as I feel both of them are off track and corrupt.  The citizen legislators envisioned by our Founding Fathers have morphed into professional politicians who opine about their life of public service and exit the Federal legislature as millionaires. Their first loyalty is to their own re-election.  Therefore, it is uncumbent upon us to let them know that they will be “outa there” if they do not respond to our concerns.

This will be an informational site dedicated to informing you about legislation, actions by environmental groups who try to keep us from getting the energy we need and articles that expose the current global warming/“green” craze that is sweeping the country for the fraud that it is.

I will not ask you for money or try to sell you my latest book.  I’m just Jolene Citizen trying to fight for the greatest country on earth.
